Manshausen, an island resort designed by Snorre Stinessen for polar explorer Børge Ousland.

Snorre Stinessen is a Norwegian architect who received his Master of Architecture degree from Norges Tekniske Høyskole and Politecnico di Milano. In 2005, he started his own studio with a focus on a wide range of services including site planning, architectural design, interior design and custom furniture design. Due to an integral design process and a strong conceptual framework, his custom-made projects provide a fundamental approach to each product. Situated in the middle of the Grøtøya strait, only 500 meters from the small village Nordskot, Manshausen was designed for polar explorer Børge Ousland. The following photos have been taken by Steve King and Snorre Stinessen.
